Grosse Ile Rotary Club District 6400 "Service Above Self" |
|
Rotary Telephone Directory Project for the years - 2010 & 2011
The Grosse Ile Rotary Club publishes a directory of Grosse Ile residents every two years and distributes it to each household on the island, free of charge. We are wonderfully supported my many Downriver businesses and individuals. The revenues generated by the advertising sales, since 1959, has been the principal fund raiser for the club. To see what we do, please click HERE. As a service club, any donations by folks receiving the directory, please send them to us at P.O. Box 125, Grosse Ile, MI 48138.
As Grosse Ile residents, we respectfully request you support our advertisers, I know we do.
The Directory Team is anchored by June Van Os and Alan Hickman, Co-Chairs. June invites contact from anyone currently listed in the 2010
&
2011 directory where the entry needs updating
or for anyone new to the island and wishing to be
listed in the next edition. Please feel free to call June at
734-676-8106 or drop her a note at 28095 Elba Drive, Grosse Ile,
The new book should be in everyone's mail box in January of 2010.
Address changes are also due soon. These would be new residents to Grosse Ile, new telephone numbers, change is spouse or what ever changed are needed for the residential listing. Changes should be telephoned to June Van Os ASAP! The changes submission deadline is August 15, 2009.
Additional copies of the current book are or the new one will be available for a donation to the Rotary of $15.00 per book. Checks should be made out to Grosse Ile Rotary Club. Sorry, no charge cards. These make great welcoming gifts for new neighbors or, for the several real estate agents serving Grosse Ile, a great gift to a new home buyer as an extra thank you. Good while supplies last. To obtain copies of the book, please contact June Van Os.
Many residents with unlisted telephone numbers in the SBC directory publish their numbers on the Rotary directory, as it is only distributed locally. Most copies reside by the kitchen phone and are affectionately referred to as 'The Bible'.
Should the visitor be a potential advertiser or wish to learn more about being a participant in our next edition, please review the contract and ad lay-out information by clicking HERE. The information sheet can be viewed by clicking HERE. It can be printed once launched. The submission deadline is August 15, 2009, including a completed contract, a check for the size requested and "photo ready" ad copy. The WebGuy can help compose ads which are pretty straight forward on a complementary basis. We are accepting those packages today, so, from our prospective, the sooner the better. More complicated ads will require the assistance of our printer, which will result in an additional charge for their time. Many thanks, in advance, for your support. Renewing advertisers may certainly use these forms, too. Should the ad copy be "just like last time", there is a box to check on the contract. Questions, please contact June Van Os, at the above telephone number or address or by emailing the GIRC WebGuy HERE.
